Privacy

The short version: Whiz collects the minimum data needed to understand whether anyone is reading, and nothing else. No accounts, no tracking across sites, no selling anyone's information. Ever.

What we collect

When you visit Whiz, our hosting provider Vercel records basic visit data through its Web Analytics service — which pages were viewed, in what order, and roughly where in the world the visit came from. No cookies are used for this. No personal identifiers are stored. Your IP address is hashed before anyone sees it.

If you prefer dark mode, the site saves your preference in your own browser so it remembers next time. This is stored locally on your device. We cannot see it, and it never leaves your browser.

What we do not collect

We do not require accounts or log-ins. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal details. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising networks, or any form of cross-site tracking. We do not have advertisers, and no third party pays to be mentioned in our essays. We do not sell or share reader data with anyone, because there is nothing to sell.

If you email us

Our contact email is hosted through Google Workspace. If you write to us at contact@whizessays.com, your message is stored in that inbox. We read it, we may reply, and we do not share it. If you would like your email deleted, write to us and it will be.

Children

Whiz is written for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect any data about visitors under the age of thirteen. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the changes will be published here and noted at the bottom of this page. Material changes will be flagged.
